Help For The Homeless

The 2025 Help for the Homeless Hygiene drive helped stock the shelves of 137 crisis programs in 22 Wisconsin communities. Over $723,000 worth of supplies donated. Read more.

Help for the Homeless has provided over $6.7 million dollars worth of hygiene and cleaning supplies to local crisis programs over the past 33 years.
In 2025, generous community members at 1,050+ businesses, churches, and schools hosted collection boxes and donated $723,000 worth of laundry soap, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, etc. to their local crisis programs.
Donate supplies at Festival Foods & Walgreens
Purchase new, unused hygiene and cleaning supplies and drop them off at the boxes located at participating stores. Boxes are typically found near the entrance or check-out areas of the store.
Most urgent needs include:
- Soaps: laundry, dish, soft, shower gel, 2-in-1 shampoo
- Trash bags (shelters especially need these for bedrooms)
- Diapers (sizes 3-6 and Pull-Ups)
- Deodorant (unscented)
- Wet wipes
- Toilet paper
- Paper towels
- Disposable razors
- Tampons and maxi pads
Host a collection box
Place your collection boxes in high-traffic areas at your church, school, business or organization. Invite staff, members, and students to contribute.
For businesses and organizations offering work-from-home options for staff, you can participate by encouraging staff to make a financial donation or drop off new, unused supplies at participating Festival Foods or Walgreens stores near you.

Make a financial donation
Funds will be used to purchase gift cards to local retailers for the purchase of hygiene supplies. 100% of your support (minus bank fees) will go to a participating community closest to the address listed on your donation!
