LIVING IN A BROKEN WORLD
The story of the Bible is actually good news. God created man and wanted us to experience true relationship and love with him. In order for that to happen, He gave us free will to choose – otherwise that relationship would not be real.
Unfortunately, man used that free will to disobey God and that brought sin into the world. With sin came pain, brokenness, disease and death as God’s perfect creation was fractured. We still live in that broken world and the penalty for our sin is death and separation from God.
THE GOOD NEWS
The Good News is that God loves us so much that he has a plan to restore His creation and our relationship with Him. He sent his son, Jesus, to pay the penalty for our sins.
Jesus, who was perfect, died and then rose from the dead to defeat ALL sin. That means anyone that acknowledges what Jesus did and puts their faith solely in Jesus for forgiveness will be saved.
We each have done things that separate us from God. Those sins have a consequence. However, we can choose to trust Jesus and be forgiven of that sin.
When we do that, we are not only forgiven but God sees us just as He sees his perfect child. So we each have a choice on whether to put our faith in Jesus and be saved. We want to help you understand and make that commitment to Jesus.
