The 2026 Hygiene Drive Results Are In

The Family Radio Network’s Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive tops $742,775!

The 34th annual Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive collected more than $742,775 in hygiene and cleaning supplies, benefiting 139 crisis programs in 22 Wisconsin communities.

More than 1,171 businesses, churches and schools hosted collection boxes for the drive, gathering personal care and cleaning items for local agencies serving individuals and families in need.

The Family partners with local crisis programs and homeless coalitions, inviting community members to donate essential items. The donations help agencies direct limited financial resources toward staffing, housing, nutritious food, education and counseling for those they serve.

Since 1992, the Help for The Homeless Drive has provided $6.7 million in supplies to Wisconsin crisis programs, with donations staying in the communities where they are collected.

A former shelter resident described the impact of the donations:

“After leaving a bad situation, I was living in my car until a space opened in the emergency shelter. When I first got to my room, there was a basket filled with personal care items waiting for me. It was such a relief to take that first shower and finally feel clean and refreshed. It was a new beginning for me.”

A school social worker also highlighted the need:

“When I gave a student a bag containing tampons, deodorant, lotion, lip balm, and shampoo/conditioner, it was as if I’d given her a present – she was that excited and grateful! When your basic needs are not met, something as simple as a bottle of shampoo makes a big difference.”

Help For The Homeless Hygiene Drive – Agency Expectations

Please review and acknowledge the expectations for participating in The Family Radio Network’s Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive event.

Agency Expectations:

An agency representative will attend all planning meetings. If an agency representative cannot attend, a substitute will participate in their place, or a make-up session will be scheduled before the meeting.

Your agency must attend the first and second meeting in August/September to be in the drive that year. Automatic “step down” if no one from your organization attends. You may also not attend the sorting day.

If you are unresponsive to communication (emails or phone calls) and repeatedly absent from meetings without prior notice, this automatically results in a “step down” from the drive for that year and the sorting day.

There will be three required meetings in late 2026. One in August, September and October.

All information provided to The Family Radio Network can be used has the radio station sees fit based on fairness for all parties involved. Changes and final decisions are made by The Family Radio Network. Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive is owned and trademarked by The Family Radio Network.

I agree, as an agency representative that I will:

  • Confirm collection sites and update the H4H Workbook in SharePoint regularly.
  • Assist and communicate throughout the entire H4H Drive.
  • Finish all assigned tasks with the best of my ability.
  • For all press releases, when noting the hygiene drive I will ensure it states the following:
The AGENCY NAME is participating in The Family Radio Network’s annual Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive.
  • The Family Radio brand name and logo should appear on all promotional materials. Changes must be approved by the station Event Coordinator.

I understand that I must be involved in all aspects of the collection drive, which include:

  • Participate in planning and choosing roles for the drive.
  • Provide annual data for The Family Radio Network*.
  • Share impactful stories with The Family Radio Network throughout the year.
  • Distribute boxes and posters to collection sites.
  • Pick up products from collection sites and deliver them to the one (1) main host location for Sorting Day.
  • Once sorting, counting, and distribution are finished, I will assist in cleaning up the host location.
  • Provide how many people received H4H donations last year. The Family Radio Network needs this information for the FCC report to the government.

Help For The Homeless Hygiene Drive – Agency Application

Please take a few moments to complete this short form to see if you are eligible for participation in The Family Radio Network’s Help For The Homeless Hygiene Drive.

The Family Radio Network is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

The Family Radio Network has the right to deny or accept an agency to be a part of this event. If you apply and are not accepted for the upcoming hygiene drive, you are welcome to reapply the following year.

Possible reasons for not being approved:

You do not have programs related to people who are at risk of homelessness or who are homeless.

At this time, there are enough agencies in the area that you can send your clients to get hygiene products.

The Family chats with Phil Wickham

Amanda from Late Mornings had a chance to catch up with Phil Wickham about life, music, and family!

Phil Wickham shared about how he met his wife, what he’s thankful for in this season of life and some of the inspiration behind why and how he writes his songs. Listen to the video to learn more!

Mornings with Doug

Weekdays 6 – 9 am, Sundays 9 am – noon

Growing up an only child, the radio was my daily companion and little did I know that when I played radio in my room as a young boy, I would one day be on the radio for a career. Radio also connected me with my amazing wife, Sheryl, as she used to listen to a station I was on.  (I called her my ‘groupie’, but after 28 years of marriage – she just rolls her eyes & laughs!)

We have two children and one 2 year old (very spoiled) Shichon dog named Jack.

My favorite verse is Phil. 4:6-7 which in the Message reads “Don’t fret or worry.  Instead of worrying, pray.  Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.  Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down.  It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.”

Hi! I love so much getting to hang out with you on The Family!

Getting to call Wisconsin “home” is a true blessing, and I’m thankful for the opportunity to reflect Jesus’ love into our corner of the world. If you have any recommendations for new foods to try, I’d love to hear about it! Generally, I can try things once…just to say I did it 😉

I’m passionate about Christian radio. My life has been changed by it, and maybe yours has too!   I truly believe that God uses the music you hear on The Family to point people to Him, whether that’s for the first time, or for the thousandth time, He’s always pursuing us.

What I hope you always know, is how much you matter! God sees you and loves you unconditionally. When I need a reminder of that truth, I usually read this verse, that I hope encourages you too: “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.” (Deuteronomy 31:8 NLT)
