Crock Pot Spaghetti Sauce


from the kitchen of Dawn Timmers

1 lb. ground round (browned & drained)
2 – 15 oz. cans tomato sauce
1 – 6 oz. can tomato paste
1 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
1 tsp. salt
1/2 - 1 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. marjoram
1 small onion (chopped)
1 – 14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes (optional)
optional additions to your liking. . .green pepper, mushrooms, olives, etc.

Put all ingredients into crock pot. Cover and cook on low 6 – 8 hrs. or high 3 – 4 hrs.

Serve over pasta and top with parmesan cheese.

Approx. 8 servings.

~ This recipe is perfect: healthy, simple, crock pot, adjustable for any appetite!
~ Consider using sweet Italian Sausage browned and drained or adding a package of precooked meatballs.
~ We make a hearty supper by serving it over meat or cheese filled ravioli, tortellini is our favorite!
