Party Green Beans

3 cans whole green beans, drained
4-5 slices of bacon

Marinade
1/2 stick butter (1/4 cup)
3 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. soy sauce

Spread green beans evenly in a 9x13 pan.
Cut bacon into pieces and arrange on top of beans.
Melt butter. Stir in brown sugar, garlic salt and soy sauce. Heat until mixed.
Pour evenly over beans.
Refrigerator overnight.
Bring pan to room temperature before baking (or increase bake time slightly).
Bake uncovered at 350° for 30 minutes.
If beans are done and bacon isn't, broil carefully for a minute or so.

*Terri's notes:
~ If fresh green beans are available, I started off with 1 1/2 pounds of fresh beans.
Snip both ends, put in a pot with an inch or so of water, cover and bring to a boil.
Boil 3-5 minutes, until they turn bright green. Run cool water over them and drain.
Proceed with the rest of the recipe as written.
