Cranberry Cheese Holiday Dip
1 can whole cranberry sauce
½ cup sugar
1/3 cup fresh minced onion (or ¼ cup dry onion)
2 Tablespoons horseradish
½ teaspoon salt
Stir constantly and bring to a boil.
Chill for at least 1 hour. May be made up to 3 days ahead.
This little appetizer is so easy and so much fun! Have several trays or baskets of crackers arranged next to pretty combinations of cream cheese/spreads served up on holiday plates. Place around the room, near where people are visiting. The only requirement is a sweet/spicy combination of flavors….Bright green hot pepper jelly, red and golden fruit flavored chipotle sauces, salsa, or mix shrimp cocktail sauce with a well drained can of flaked crab and pour over cream cheese! Wheat Thins are the perfect little nibblers.
