Cherry Almond Sauce

1 can cherry pie filling
1/4 cup butter (½ a stick)
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Heat all ingredients except almond extract in saucepan until blended and bubbly.
Remove from heat and add almond extract.
Mix well and serve over Chocolate cake, Pound Cake, Angel Food, Pancakes or Waffles, good on warm Chocolate Brownies too.


 Sprinkle with extra sliced almonds for a little flair.
