Linda's Pasta Salad

from the kitchen of Linda Cotton

1 lg. red onion-sliced
1/3 cup parmesan cheese
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. basil
2 cup mayonnaise (I used lite)
4 cup broccoli-bite sized
4 cup cauliflower-bite sized
1 8 oz. can sliced water chestnuts
2 cup seasoned croutons
8 oz. vermicelli-cooked
1 lb. bacon - cooked and crumbled

Mix together onion, parmesan cheese, sugar, salt, basil and mayonnaise.
Then mix with broccoli and cauliflower.
Toss in water chestnuts, croutons, noodles and bacon right before serving.
