My kids love it. It's so easy . . . no homemade broth!
1 medium onion, chopped
4 carrots, sliced
2 stalks celery, sliced
2/3 cup frozen corn
2/3 cup frozen peas
3 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
3/4 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. thyme
1/4 tsp. marjoram
3/4 tsp. garlic powder
3 Tbsp. parsley
8 cups chicken broth
2 chicken breasts, with bone in and skin on
1 cup water
1 1/2 cups egg noodles
Put all ingredients into a crock pot except noodles.
Cover and cook on low 12 hours.
Remove chicken breasts from crock pot and cool slightly.
While chicken is cooling use a strainer spoon to go through what’s in crock pot looking for pieces of the chicken breast that may have broken off and remove them.
When chicken is cool enough to handle remove the meat from bone and cut in chunks.
Put the meat chunks in the crock pot and add the noodles.
Turn to high and cook until noodles are tender – approx. 10 minutes.
Stir before serving.
