½ cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup light corn syrup
1 Tblsp. good prepared mustard
1 Tblsp. vinegar
1/4 tsp.. allspice
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
Warm in the microwave and spoon over ham before baking.
-"good mustard" would be Koop's, Grey Poupon, or a horseradish mustard, but plain old mustard is just fine!
-I usually divide it, put half on the ham before it goes in the oven and pour the other half over the ham part way through baking.
-We like it so well that I make a second batch and serve it as a dipping sauce. This also works well if you're not sure the entire family will like it...just serve it on the side.
-It does get very sticky and thick, just reheat it and it melts again.
-Arrange pineapple rings on the ham too, it's a wonderful combination!
