French Toast Casserole

1 - 12 oz. loaf French bread, cut into 1 inch slices
Butter a 9 X 13" pan and arrange bread slices to within ½" from the top.

In a blender, mix:
8 eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup ½ and ½
2 tsp. vanilla
½ tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon

Pour mixture over bread slices, cover and refrigerate overnight.
When ready to bake....preheat oven to 350 degrees

3/4 cup butter
1 1/3 cups brown sugar
3 Tblsp. dark corn syrup
1 1/3 cups chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)

Spread mixture over top of bread, put a little between too!
Bake for 50 minutes, until puffed and golden.
