Apple Crisp

from Cathie Donaldson & Cheryl Barth

2 cups flour
4 Tblsp. sugar
½ tsp. salt
1 cup cold butter (2 sticks)

Use pastry blender or fork to mix as for pastry, until fine crumbles form.
Pat evenly into a 9 X 13” baking pan.

Cover crust evenly with:
8 cups sliced apples
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup sugar

Mix until crumbly:
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
½ tsp. salt
1 stick of butter

Sprinkle crumb topping over apples.
Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.

Serve warm with ice cream.
Tastes just like Grama made and serves a crowd!
